As part of the Capital Park development, these heritage designated houses were relocated to form a grouping at the corner of Government and Michigan Streets. The houses had been previously used by the Provincial Government.
Following relocation, the interiors of the houses were dismantled for seismic upgrading and the installation of sprinklers, ventilation, and other building systems. The conversion of the buildings to rental accommodation was achieved with only minor changes to the room layouts, and almost no exterior alterations. Full basements were constructed, with brick exterior finishes.
