Aura Townhouses

Nestled between green fields and picturesque valleys, the Aura Townhouses offer the
best of country “village” life combined with a modern, urban style. Three clusters of
five units back on to each other and create a house-like form that faces all directions.
A unique colour palette identifies the individual homes, and the unit clusters are
spun at different angles to create a random character. As all the parking is surface,
it was important to visually control the space through the use of carports which
cover over 50% of the stalls. This feature also creates a scale transition between
unit groups. The project is BUILT GREEN® to EnerGuide 80 standards and features
efficient gas fired hot water tanks, rain screen exterior wall systems, durable
hardiplank siding for easy-care maintenance, engineered wood truss roof system and
large double glazed ENERGY STAR® vinyl windows.

Village Walk

Village Walk’s exterior architecture offers contemporary appeal with traditional
influences that remain true to the neighbourhood’s historic surroundings. The
four-storey landmark building features progressive building technologies and was
designed and built to BUILT GREEN® Canada standards. The high quality exterior
consists of a combination of brick, concrete, wood, metal cladding and glass with
open air balconies and patios. Green initiatives include triple-glazed low emissivity
thermally-broken aluminum clad Pella wood windows, rain gardens that surround
the exterior to collect unused storm water, in-floor radiant heating, ENERGY STAR®
appliances and electric vehicle charging stations in the underground parking area.

Station Street Apartments

Station Street Apartments is a 94 unit rental building situated at the nexus of Jacklin
Road and Station Avenue in the municipality of Langford. The project responds to the
growing demand for rental properties in the Capital Regional District area. Station
Street Apartments offer the luxuries and conveniences of a condo lifestyle with
high quality amenities that include an elegant lobby, state of the art fitness centre
and secured bicycle storage. The project has studios and one and two bedroom
apartments with in-suite laundry, stainless appliances, extra large balconies and
spacious storage rooms.

Historically speaking

The Commercial Building Awards were started in 1991 by a group of REALTORS® who were concerned that commercial development within the Greater Victoria area was not receiving the recognition it deserved.

The Commercial Building Awards competition is recognized among architects, builders and developers and the real estate community as a prestigious event dedicated to the advancement of excellence in construction and design. Because of its success, the Victoria Commercial Building Awards program is now being emulated by various real estate boards throughout BC and across Canada.
